Because knowing what to treat and exercise is most important, we start with a thorough screening. With the support of an exceptional anatomy resource – developed by Willem Kramer, one of the co-owner of Veel Beter Fysiotherapie – we trace your pain or injury. All muscles, fasciae, nerves and other organs (body parts with a unique function) with a direct and indirect connection to your physical complaint(s) are examined and tested. The connecting organs found to have a negative influence over your pain or injury, are added to a so-called “To Treat list”.

In several treatment sessions, using unique hands-on treatment techniques and specific exercises, we switch the negative influences of the organs connecting with your pain or injury to positive. By turning the influences positive we clear out the road to recovery, allowing your body to heal in just days instead of weeks.

Because of our unique approach we might treat your hip after you sprain your ankle, your back when you suffer knee complaints or your abdominal region in case of neck pain. Your Veel Beter Therapist can explain and show you the intriguing inter-organ connections and influences.

The PT center I own with two of my colleagues, is called “Veel Beter Fysiotherapie”. This seemingly pretentious name (Veel Beter means “Way Better” in Dutch) is not picked to brag about the quality of our work, but says something about how our clients feel after their treatment.  We hear the words “way better” from our clients so often (“It feels way better”) that we decided to make it the name of our clinic.

Veel Beter Physical Therapy is located in a 5,500 square feet, two story building, in a town called Almere. It has a lounge area, a gym, locker rooms, and eight large private treatment rooms. For all you world travelers out there, Almere is situated close to Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands.

Our clientele consists mainly of professional, amateur, and recreational athletes. The reason why athletes come to seek our help is because we specialize in treating acute soft tissue injuries. With our multifaceted treatment approach we are able to help most athletes return to action in less than a week.

We pride ourselves on creating a relaxed atmosphere. Not only the interior of our clinic is inviting and laidback, the therapists are also taught to behave casual and friendly, of course without sacrificing on quality and dedication.
