Hi! Welcome...

Willem Kramer I am Willem, a Dutch-trained Physical Therapist, Licensed Massage Therapist, and CSCS. I own a Sports Injury Treatment Center in the Netherlands but live in the USA, just South of Washington DC. For many years I spent most of my days training and treating professional and amateur athletes. But now, much of my time is occupied with reading anatomy books and research. On this website I am planning on sharing some practical anatomical information. I would also like to show you how we run our clinic in Europe, maybe you find it useful.

Great ideas

For the past few days I have spent most of my time packing. The huge amount of registered brains waves, important notes, and genious ideas I encountered while packing my life in boxes is amazing. Most ideas are not as earth shattering as they seemed the moment they came to exist. However, some were able to withstand the test of time. Maybe one of them will come to fruition in one shape or form.

If not, most ideas did facilitate a good laugh. Maybe I should share them with the world and make them into a bathroom calander.

Hmmm…., let me write that down.

Charlottesville

We are moving to Charlottesville VA. Jill accepted the first assistant position at UVA. She is very excited about it.

I was told that UVA has a great medical library. I am very excited as well.

In 2004 Bert Sperling and Peter Sander ranked Charlottesville number one in their book Cities Ranked and Rated. They believed it to be the best US city to live in. I can’t wait to see it with my own two eyes.

Move

Before the end of February Jill and I are leaving Tuscaloosa. Where we’ll move to is not clear yet. As far as I know we might end up in Memphis TN, Fort Collins CO, or Charlottesville VA.

I don’t really have a preference. As long as Jill is having a good time.

I can read my books and drink my espresso anywhere.

Books and backs

Bought a few more books today.

Browsing around on Amazon the Kindle caught my eye. A portable reading device that, according to its advertising, provides access to more than 100,000 books and blogs. Although I really like the way books look and read, this digital replacement might prevent potential injuries.

Over the years I have received many complaints from airport personnel in regard to the weight of my suite case. The pile of books I tend to drag along, makes my suitcase into a back buster. I was told that the weight of my luggage resembles that of a baby elephant.

Maybe I should buy a Kindle of some sort. It’s for sure not as nice as a real book, but at only 10.3 ounces it might prevent injuries.

Again

I woke up this morning. Again! It’s remarkable. I do wonder how many more times this will happen.
